ESID, a non-profit organization, aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among doctors, nurses, biomedical investigators, patients and their families concerned with primary immunodeficiency diseases and promote research on causes, mechanisms and treatment of these disorders. |

Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS): |
The Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) was created to provide a scientific forum to foster the cross-disciplinary approach required to understand and treat immune-based diseases as the discipline of clinical immunology evolves. FOCIS has 21 Member Societies and 6 Affiliate Societies, representing roughly 30,000 clinician scientists. |

PAGID is an alliance of physicians and scientists with an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with primary immunodeficiencies. The group was formed in 1996 to provide a forum for collaborations and the exchange of information among colleagues. Most members of PAGID are associated with academic centers in North, Central or South America. |

This agency provides information on biological products, such as blood and plasma, including new product approvals, adverse events, product recalls and withdrawals. |

This organization is the federal agency that administers Medicare, Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). The web site provides information on these programs and contains the initiatives put out by the Department of Health and Human Services such as the "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act." It also lists the state health insurance commissioners, which can be helpful in seeking health insurance assistance. |
