Operation Outreach
The Immune Deficiency Foundation’s Operation Outreach program offers educational and networking opportunities for individuals (and their families) impacted by primary immunodeficiency disease (PIDD).
These one-day meetings, bolstered by informative education sessions and comprehensible presentations from primary immunodeficiency experts, bring invaluable information to regions of the country not often privy to such meetings and seminars.
IDF’s Operation Outreach not only features a network of patient contacts in regions currently without an active IDF program, but also helps develop specific curriculum to suit the needs of PIDD patients and families on the local level.
A typical Outreach session may include local clinical immunologists addressing the latest advancements in the treatment and management of primary immunodeficiency diseases; physicians spotlighting immunoglobulin therapy; an introduction to the work and mission of the Immune Deficiency Foundation; and the advice and expertise of insurance reimbursement specialists.
One of the most pleasing aspects of IDF’s Operation Outreach is the feedback the Foundation receives from the attendees. In addition to the gracious comments and heartfelt thanks, Outreach participants point to a favorite characteristic of these programs: the first time many patients and families have been able to meet other individuals affected by primary immunodeficiency disease.

Operation Outreach is supported by an educational grant from CSL Behring.
