In honor of National Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month, IDF Volunteer Chelsee Self visited CSL Plasma Center in Mesquite, TX on April 27 to help staff and donors understand how their work helps people living with primary immunodeficiency.
Chelsee said that the staff and donors warmly welcomed her and she had a great visit. She explained, “They had the place really decorated up in zebra gear. I got to meet and greet some of the donors and answer questions from the staff. They were all so kind, and they have been really working hard to raise money for IDF! So far everyone I have met at CSL takes great pride in their work and it certainly shows. I really look forward to more visits in the future.”
And the staff felt the same way about Chelsee’s visit. “I can’t express to you how much we enjoyed Chelsee’s visit,” said CSL Staff Member LaDonnica Eddings, “It was very informative and so exciting to meet someone as courageous as Chelsee. I know our donors really enjoyed it.”
