IDF's annual Advocacy Day, including the teen and young adult program, Stand Up for PI, provides members of the primary immunodeficiency (PI) community across the country the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., and meet with members of Congress to share their stories and influence policy. Space is limited and participants are chosen through a highly selective application process. For those chosen to participate, all costs related to Advocacy Day and Stand Up for PI, including travel, hotel, and meals, are covered by IDF.
Every day, Congress makes policy decisions that impact the lives of individuals with rare, chronic conditions like PI. However, most legislators know very little about PI and the effect that different policies could have on those across the community. By sharing experiences and resources with policymakers, IDF Advocacy Day participants help ensure the unique needs of the PI community are met. Participants receive advocacy training, as well as background on the issues.
Thank you to our Advocacy Day sponsors CSL Behring, Enzyvant, Grifols, and Takeda.
As a part of Advocacy Day, IDF hosts the teen and young adult program, Stand Up for PI. This program brings PI community members age 15-25 to Washington, D.C., one day in advance of Advocacy Day to participate in programming specifically tailored to young people. On Advocacy Day, these young members of the community join other participants in meetings with legislators on Capitol Hill.
Thank you to our Stand Up for PI sponsor Takeda.

The application deadline has passed.
