IDF Facebook Groups provide our community with a tool for ongoing engagement and mutual support. IDF Facebook Group Moderators help engage this online community by providing a welcoming and safe environment for patients and families living with primary immunodeficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a facilitator for discussions on relevant forum topics
  • Approve membership requests for those who fit the group criteria
  • Monitor threads for advertising, SPAM, product promotion, inappropriate medical advice, and derogatory postings

Time Commitment

  • Must be able to commit to engaging community at least twice a week to approve member requests, welcome new users, and engage the community
  • Should expect to spend approximately 5-8 hours per month working in this role
  • Must be willing to commit to a minimum six-month term


The ideal volunteer for this position:

  • is an active member of Facebook
  • has previous experience with facilitation, including selecting relevant discussion topics and enforcing rules of discussion etiquette
