IDF Comments on Health Care Reform Implementation in Illinois

The Affordable Care Act requires states to establish a Navigator program to help enroll individuals in health plans on the Health Benefits Exchange. The role of Navigators also includes outreach and education efforts, providing unbiased and accurate information, and helping individuals apply for coverage.  The Illinois Governor’s Health Care Reform Implementation Council sought input on the design of the Illinois Navigator Program.  IDF submitted comments on the need to ensure the inclusion of information for patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases and other rare and chronic diseases.  You can read IDF’s comments here
