IDF has been facilitating IDF Patient Education Meetings in abundance throughout the country in an effort to educate families and patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases and connect them with other individuals in their local community. These meetings are orchestrated by IDF volunteers with assistance from IDF. Here are some of the events that took place this Fall -
October 28, Susan Giorgi-Branch hosted a meeting for Rhode Island patients and families featuring a presentation from David Lee, MD of Brown University and an Ask the Expert session.
November 6 saw four Patient Meetings on the same day!

Meanwhile in Columbia, South Carolina, Xan Moseley was leading another patient meeting with a presentation from Patricia S. Gerber, MD from the National Allergy, Asthma and Urticaria Centers of Charleston and a Q&A with Dr. Gerber and David Amrol, MD of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

IDF Director of Education and Volunteer Development, Kathy Antilla, spearheaded a meeting in Bloomington, MN. It featured a presentation from Ralph Shapiro, MD of Midwest Immunology on treatment options and Healthcare Reform updates from Frank Quintieri of Baxter BioScience and Kim Isenberg of CSL Behring.
