IDF Volunteer Keeps her Cool in the Summer Heat

IDF Staten Island volunteer Joanna Tierno just won’t quit.  Despite the heat and losing her electricity for hours, Joanna still managed to pull off a smashing Chinese Auction fundraiser for IDF on Friday, July 22!  Joanna’s event raised awareness and $663 for IDF!  Joanna also took the opportunity of press covering the blackout in her neighborhood to talk to the media about PIDD.

Thank you to all of our IDF volunteers who overcome personal and external setbacks to make such a difference for the whole PIDD community!

Please let IDF know if you are involved in any Community in Action activities in your community. Comment below or fill out the Contact form at the top of the page to have your story featured in a future blog post.  If you are interested in becoming an IDF volunteer, what are you waiting for?  Visit the website http://primaryimmune.org/volunteer

Nice Joanna you do so much for IDF

Thank you Jenny! I think we would have raised more without the record breaking heat & power outages, but as we all know life doesn't always go as planned. I was so touched my everyone who did brave the heat and come out to my event.
