Knocking down pins, raising awareness

Illinois volunteers tore up the bowling lanes to raise money for IDF!  Amy Walsh, Kim Laberry, and Randy and Zina Berryhill organized the IDF Strikes for Stripes fundraiser in Orlando Park on July 30th.  This fabulous fundraising team got together 135 guests, filling 20 bowling lanes, and raising over $7,000 for IDF!  For non-bowlers who still wanted to be a part of the fun, the event also featured great food, raffles, and a silent auction!

Amy Walsh describes the event below:

“The fundraiser was so much fun!!!  We had a fun cake with a whole heard of zebra decorating it!  Bowlers all had a ton of fun with some getting into the spirit and dressing up with team shirts.  I heard many compliments of how fun the bowling was, how yummy the pizza and cake were and what great raffle and auction items were donated.  The lights were dimmed and the "cosmic bowling" black lights and music were turned up which added to the fun!  Our 50/50 raffle winner, Dan LaValle, kindly donated his winnings right back to IDF!  There was also some friendly competition amongst guests over some of our auction and raffle donations, we had three tables full of great items!”

Way to go Team Illinois!  Thank you to all of the people who participated and helped to make the event such a resounding success.
