Dear Members of the IDF Community,
We hope you are weathering well, with all consideration for the challenges of our time. We welcome the start of a new season with cautious optimism and are reaching out with a quick update with positive news.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are pleased to announce we have launched the national search for the Immune Deficiency Foundation’s next CEO. With input from our community over the past several months, we developed a leadership profile that details the experience, strategic vision, and skills needed to lead IDF in its strategic goals to build a stronger, more empowered community. Thank you to all whose perspectives contributed to this process. The CEO position summary can be viewed here.
The search will be led by The Batten Group, a leading expert in national executive search that works exclusively with nonprofit, health, and mission-driven organizations. Our thanks also to IDF’s Search Committee, who thoughtfully selected this firm in a competitive process.
During this transition, IDF’s leadership and commitment to advocacy, education, and research have remained unwavering, thanks to efforts guided by interim CEO Kathryn Stephens, who will remain as part of the IDF team until a new CEO is announced.
The launch of the search represents a crucial step forward, which will usher in a new chapter that robustly and aggressively focuses on our mission. Our ambition is to promote more equitable outcomes for PI patients, ensuring that everyone in the U.S. affected by PI has a well-rounded understanding of their condition, all available treatment options, expected standard of care, and any and all opportunities for connection and support within the PI community.
We hope that you are as excited for the future as we are, and we look forward to providing future updates. And please, share the listing on social media and with those in your own professional networks.
