Little Sister Helps Big Brother and the PI Community
A young girl with a sewing machine and a big idea is making a big difference! This month, 9 year old Gabriella from New Jersey, the younger sister of Mark one of our little zebras, worked hard at her sewing station to make 72 pillows out of cotton and zebra fabric. She planned to sell them at her local craft fair and donate the proceeds to the IDF Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency and help create a better future for people living with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PI), like her big brother.
Pillows Sold Out, Family Connects with Others
With enthusiasm for spreading awareness of PI and raising money for her brother’s IDF Walk for PI team, this young seamstress sold every last pillow! The family even connected with some other families in the PI Community during the sale and were excited to meet some new friends and hear their stories.
We are so proud of Gabriella for thinking creatively about making a difference for people affected by PI. IDF hopes that others are inspired by this project and will use their own talents to help the fight against PI. Together we can make a difference!
