Plasma Ambassador

Help promote the importance of plasma donation for immunoglobulin (Ig) therapy. By sharing your personal story of this lifesaving benefit, you’ll help give plasma donations a name, a face, and a personal connection.

Be a plasma hero in your own community

Your work will encourage donors to continue donating and, in turn, encourage their friends and family to donate plasma as well. Speaking to plasma donors (and potential plasma donors) will inspire others to learn more about Ig therapies and the importance of plasma donation.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve representing IDF and speaking about the organization’s mission and history to staff and donors at local plasma donation centers. The time commitment includes visiting a local plasma center at least two times annually and spending approximately 1-3 hours at each visit.

Qualifications

The ideal volunteer for this position should meet the following requirements:

  • Receive immunoglobulin therapy or have a family member who does
  • Be comfortable speaking to a small group
  • Be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • Provide your own transportation
