Description

Plasma donation is a critically important activity to many in the PI community. Plasma Awareness Coordinators help spread the word about the importance of plasma donation by meeting with staff and donors at their local plasma donation centers. By sharing their personal stories on how their lives have been impacted by plasma donations, these individuals help to give plasma donations a name, a face, and a personal connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent IDF at local plasma collection center(s)
  • Share the IDF story, including the mission and history
  • Speak to donors and staff about the lifesaving benefit you or a family member receives from immunoglobulin therapy
  • Encourage donors to continue donating and share their experience with friends and family

Time Commitment

  • Must be able to commit to visiting their local plasma center at least two times annually
  • Should expect to spend approximately 1-3 hours at each visit

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Must receive immunoglobulin therapy or have a family member who does
  • Is comfortable speaking to a small group
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • Must be able to provide your own transportation
