"Time Well Spent" at Biomat Donor Center

Donna and Jerry Hobson with Biomat plasma donor Mathews Rainer

IDF Volunteers Donna and Jerry Hobson visited Biomat Donor Center in Council Bluffs, IA July 1. The center, which is a subsidiary of Grifols, collects plasma which is used to produce immunoglobulin, a life-saving treatment for patients living with primary immunodeficiency (PI). The Dobsons scheduled the visit through the IDF Plasma Center Partners Program.

“The center was amazing, very well run,” explains Donna, “Excellent staff. We were very impressed. The video of Grifols was very well done. It was interesting to watch each step that the plasma took down to the patient who received the medication. Thank you for allowing us to visit—it was time well spent.”

Thank you to the Hobsons and the donors and staff at Biomat in Council Bluffs!
