Clues to a timely CGD diagnosis

October 10, 2019

Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) is a primary immunodeficiency that may present with infection or inflammation. Unfortunately, many people with CGD go undiagnosed for many years, oten resulting in periods of recurring infections for patients. The Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) has created videos directed towards primary care providers and specialists who may encounter a patient with CGD in their practice, and may need to consider this diagnosis and manage confirmed cases. The videos aim to increase awareness by providing a brief overview of the condition, clinical presentation of CGD, and reviewing medical management and other treatment options.
