Primary immunodeficiencies (PIs) are a group of more than 450 rare, chronic conditions where a part of the body’s immune system is missing or does not function correctly.
Sometimes it's difficult to put a face to a rare, chronic, and often invisible disease. Explore the stories below to meet some of this community and put a face on the diagnosis.
Our policy priorities fall into four major categories: ensuring access to care, providing a voice for those with PI, expanding screening and diagnosis, and supporting emerging research and therapies.
The Research Grant Program supports patient-centered research focused on improving the treatment, health, disease management, or diagnosis of people with PI, as well as research that contributes to the general body of PI knowledge.
We produce more than a dozen podcasts each year, ranging from conversations with providers, to chats about various conditions to interviews with individuals who share their lived experience. All episodes have a growing listenership and tackle important topics related to PI.
