The Immune Deficiency Foundation will host 1,000+ attendees at the 2026 National Conference from June 24-26 at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas.
The 2026 National Conference will bring together patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and advocates from across the country for three days of expert-led education, cutting-edge clinical insights, and meaningful connection. Sessions will span a broad range of topics, including diagnosis, available treatment options, and practical strategies for managing life with a primary immunodeficiency.
First launched in 2001, the conference has been held in person at eleven locations across the United States and has grown into one of the largest gatherings of people with PI in the world. The organization is also welcoming guests from Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
The conference, themed “Mosaic,” reflects the rich diversity of experiences within the PI community. Just as a mosaic is composed of many unique pieces that together form a vibrant, dynamic whole, this year’s event will weave together the individual stories, journeys, and voices of the PI community. At the conference, families and individuals can connect with others by expressing their lived experience through interactive art installations.
Attendees will have access to world-renowned immunologists and specialists, as well as opportunities to connect with others who share similar challenges and experiences. The event also features dedicated resources and support services designed to empower individuals at every stage of their medical journey.
“No matter where you are in your primary immunodeficiency journey, this conference offers expert-led education, meaningful connections, and cutting-edge insights from world-renowned immunologists,” states Jorey Berry, Immune Deficiency Foundation President & CEO.
Registration, presenter bios, agenda, and additional details are available on the National Conference website. Sponsors of the National Conference include CSL Behring, Grifols, Takeda, Pfizer, Pharming, Amgen, ADMA Biologics, Kedrion Biopharma USA, Chiesi, Evernorth Health Services, Octapharma, and X4.
Primary immunodeficiencies (PIs), also known as inborn errors of immunity (IEI), are a group of more than 550 rare, chronic conditions in which part of the body's immune system is missing or does not function correctly. According to the National Institutes of Health, there are approximately 500,000 individuals in the U.S. with a PI. These conditions are caused by hereditary genetic defects and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity. PI can cause infection, malignancy (cancer), allergy, autoimmunity, autoinflammation, or any simultaneous combination of these issues.
The Immune Deficiency Foundation is the largest primary immunodeficiency (PI) patient advocacy group in the United States, with 45 years of expertise in primary immunodeficiency. As such, we take pride in helping to connect, engage, and empower families to live longer, stronger, healthier lives. Whether you are looking for subject matter experts on PI (clinicians or patients), information about an upcoming event, or a statement from the organization on a particular topic, we can offer guidance and resources in a variety of areas, including:
