The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) Board of Trustees announced Jorey Berry as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization after a nationwide search. Berry will begin her tenure on January 3, 2022, and will be IDF’s first remote CEO, leading the organization from her home in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Berry brings an extensive track record in nonprofit management and organizational change to IDF. She spent more than 20 years with March of Dimes, a nonprofit working to improve the health of mothers and babies, where she most recently served as Vice President of Change Management. While at the March of Dimes, Berry tackled organizational design/development projects and took on a strategic realignment study and a new operating model design for the organization. Her significant public policy experience fostered the belief that a strong advocacy presence is vital to an organization’s strength. Most recently, Berry has led a shift in branding at March of Dimes to focus on health equity and raising awareness for mothers and babies in underserved communities.
“It’s an honor to be leading this internationally-recognized health organization with a legacy of accomplishment and service to people with PI,” said Berry. “I am eager to begin working alongside the passionate team of professionals to further advance IDF’s advocacy, education, and research initiatives.”
Berry holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University and began her career as an English teacher. She then held several local and state advocacy positions before joining March of Dimes.
