Content use and release agreement

This agreement applies to any content you provide to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, whether through an online form, email, phone conversation, interview, event participation, video conference, social media interaction, or any other communication method. Covered content includes stories, testimonials, comments, photographs, images, videos, audio recordings, artwork, documents, and other materials ("Submitted Content").

By submitting content and providing your electronic consent where requested, you agree to the terms below.

Permission to use your content

You give the Immune Deficiency Foundation permission to use, reproduce, publish, share, distribute, display, adapt, and otherwise use your Submitted Content, in whole or in part, for educational, promotional, advocacy, fundraising, marketing, research, and other mission-related purposes.

This permission is granted as a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license and applies to any format, platform, or technology now known or developed in the future.

You acknowledge and agree that the Immune Deficiency Foundation may use your name, likeness, image, voice, biographical information, and other information you voluntarily submit in connection with the Submitted Content, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

Review, approval, and compensation

The Immune Deficiency Foundation values collaboration with our community and generally provides contributors an opportunity to review and approve materials created from their Submitted Content before publication. Approval may be provided through any reasonable method, including but not limited to email, electronic form, phone conversation, text message, video conference, or other written or verbal communication. The Immune Deficiency Foundation may rely on such approval as authorization to publish and use the approved materials.

Once you approve materials for publication, you authorize the Immune Deficiency Foundation to use those materials as described in this agreement. Approved materials may later be reproduced, distributed, shared, or reused without requesting additional approvals. The Immune Deficiency Foundation is not required to use or publish any Submitted Content and may remove or stop using content at any time.

You understand that you will not receive payment or other compensation for the use of your Submitted Content unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise.

Your responsibilities and release of claims

You confirm that you own the Submitted Content, or have all necessary rights, permissions, and authority to submit it and grant the permissions described in this agreement. You also confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, the Submitted Content does not infringe upon the rights of any other person or organization.

Except as prohibited by law, you agree not to bring claims against the Immune Deficiency Foundation, its officers, directors, employees, and designated representatives arising from the foundation's authorized use of your Submitted Content under this agreement.

Privacy and content involving minors 

The Immune Deficiency Foundation takes reasonable measures to protect personal information and retains such information only as long as necessary for legitimate business, legal, or mission-related purposes, in accordance with applicable laws and the foundation's privacy policies.

If the Submitted Content includes or depicts a person under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian must provide consent on the minor's behalf. By providing an electronic signature or consent, the parent or legal guardian represents and warrants that they have full legal authority to act on behalf of the minor and to grant the permissions described herein.

Electronic consent

By checking a consent box, signing electronically, responding by email, providing verbal authorization, or otherwise indicating your agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Content Use and Release Agreement.

You also agree that electronic and verbal authorizations provided to Immune Deficiency Foundation may be relied upon as evidence of your consent and, where permitted by law, have the same force and effect as an original handwritten signature.
